Dear people,
I am a newby to Vissim, though I have the program installed. I need to export traffic data into 3dstudiomax, so I can make an animation of cars passing along a crossing point.
I read that normally you can export the traffic simulation output data to a acsii text file, which I can read into 3dstudio. But the company that delivers the simulation, doesn'nt have the V3DM module.
Is there a way to export the traffic data out of Vissim into a text file WITHOUT using the V3DM module??!!
Thanks in advance,

The only way to do this without the export to 3D Studio is to write the vehicle record file and record the x,y,z coords of the front and rear of the vehicle. This will record the position of every vehicle for every time step. Obviously this will require more post processing in 3D Studio than the export feature, but this was the method used before the ani.txt file and script were available.
In addition, this forum is for scripting questions and this section of the forum is a posting guide. Please either email the technical support hotline or post VISSIM scripting questions in the VISSIM section.
Thanks. |
